Scottish punks, The Try Hards, have put everything they’ve ever recorded on the web for download, free.
We’ve put up 3 seperate .zip files that can be downloaded all for free. The 3 zip files have been divided up in order of when each recording session took place. In total there are 22 songs. Some good, some great, some just plain fucking awful! There are covers, there are songs you’ve heard from us before and there are others that have never even seen the light of day. Hold these songs close to your heart.
You want exposure? This is how it’s done. I’ll admit that I’ve never heard of The Try Hards before today – but now I’m listening to it and loving it, even writing about it. I’m sure I’ll be singing “Mongoloid, he was a mongoloid, happier than you and me” for the rest of the day, and their songs Scrap, Last Orders, and My Jacket are instant punk anthems. The line from 1, 2, 3, 4 – “got something to say? Start a band and hit the stage” is the very epitome of punk rock.
What a great find. I highly recommend downloading these for yourself. If you do, be sure to sign The Try Hards guestbook and thank them for the tunes. Here’s The Try Hards website and their MySpace page.
